Memorial Gardens

This week Green Nurseries began the Memorial Gardens with two flowering dogwoods, one in memory of Violet Bissel, and the other in memory of Norman Papineau. They are a gift of the Peter, Cheryl and Jean Papineau.

Ringers on the Green

TThe Meadows were graced with a phenomenal concert by the Morristown, NJ, youth hand bell choir, "Ringers on the Green." The event was the first of many to be held for charities in the area. The "Ringers" concert was a benefit for Faith Unlimited of Hampshire County, a family transition, mentoring and counseling service. .

Hunger Relief Effort

the deacons have placed a food donation bin, and a hunger relief offering basket at the reception table.  There remains a growing food crisis among many families under extreme financial stress in our area.  Maybe you feel you cannot do much to alleviate the crisis, but together we have proven it is possible to make a difference.  The food baskets in April went to 10 families in crisis.  For all, it was a boost to help them over a few days of difficult times.  When you're food shopping, it isn't much to pick up an extra can of green beans, or a can of coffee, or a loaf of bread, but it can change the life of another.
