Five delegates attended the Summit in Chicago
this past August. They went to explore church dynamics that have
proven successful. For four days they had little sleep, but as was
quoted, "It was worth every un-shut eye. I didn't dare blink."
Eleven folks from the church had hoped to attend, but schedules and
commitments didn't make it possible. Those who were able to go,
did so at a great sacrifice. It is hard to express enough
gratitude for the work they did.
In the end, they returned convinced the church needs to be absolutely
clear on its purpose, or its "True North." From here, all programs
can be shaped to accentuate the unique character and ministry our Lord
has vested in this church. |
